The 2013 vintage was a fantastic warm year with wines showing excellent colour and flavour; not big; but elegant and perfumed.
The Eloquesta Shiraz Petit Verdot 2013 has a darker rich purple plum and core of extract. The perfume is elegant, showing perfumes of ripe sweet mixed flowers, plums, lavender spice and cola aniseed. The acid is firm and sturdy on the palate.
There is an elegance and restraint with a swathe of red and dark berries, black plums, anise and ‘old style’ cola. A spicy savoury black olive tapenade note mingles with a subtle well integrated malty nougat oak and finishes firm with a ripe tannic and acid finish. Begging for food, banter and good times.
